Library Rules & Regulations
- Entry is permitted with ID only.
- Silence must be observed in the Library.
- Eating, Drinking, Chewing is prohibited in the Library.
- Faculty and Students must mute their cell phones in the Library.
- Personal belongings such as bags, books and files must be left outside the Library rooms and halls.
- Books are issued for one week, Books lost, destroyed, damaged or disfigured shall have to be paid for or replaced by the Borrower.
- Before getting the books issued, the Borrower must satisfy himself/herself about the condition of the books otherwise he/she will be held responsible for any damage.
- Each Borrower is held responsible for books drawn on his ID Card and for all fines accruing there on.
- Borrower’s Card is not transferable.
- In the Reading Hall and E-Library, chairs should not be reserved for any person or users.
- Reference materials may only be viewed inside the Library.
- If one book or a set of books is damaged or lost, the whole set will have to be replaced.
- A fine of 1 Rs. Per day will be charged for each book kept overtime.
- In case of loss of Borrower’s Card a duplicate card will be issued on payment of Rs 100/-
- The Librarian can recall any book if necessary even before the expiry of the due date.
- Borrowers Card must be returned in the library before Test Examination otherwise Rs. 50/- will be charged as fine.
- Rs. 1/- per page will be charged for the photo copy of Books/Periodicals.
N.B. – Borrowers are requested to present Identity Card (ID) while calling for the books otherwise books will not be issued. |
